Growing our Gardens
Last year, throughout the Summer we had several members give out of their excess. We were able to bless our community with a lot of free produce from our mobile veggie cart.
We had a few places that let us bring our cart to distribute veggies, but because we were primarily distributing excess veggies we weren’t able to develop a consistent presence anywhere.
With more time to plan and prepare we want to expand in a way that can give us more consistency in a few different communities. We will still happily accept any excess produce you have, but we also want to plan in a way that we should be able to distribute at designated times and places.
How can you help?
Would you be willing to designate a part of your garden for your neighbors? In order to help us plan, we would like you to decide how much space of your garden you are willing to share, and if you have a preference on what you want to grow. Then we will help you with what and when to plant in your space.
Invite your friends to participate as well. Do you have friends or family who garden and would like to help? Have them contact us too.
Can we help you?
We know that there may be some of you who want to garden, but don’t know where to start. We are willing to help get you started. Erich is an experienced gardener who would love to share some of his experience with you?
Do you need help getting your garden tilled? Do you need plants/seeds? Do you need help maintaining your garden? Let us know, we will do our best to help you help others. We can work together to grow, and we can work together to share.
