http://www.aplaceforgrace.com/pro/news_rss.cfm?detailid=132208 Home Wed, 16 May 2012 <p> <img alt="" src="http://www.aplaceforgrace.com/images/Stout.jpg" style="width: 250px; height: 188px" /></p> <p> Adam Stout grew up in Savanna, IL.&nbsp; He attended a Christian Reformed Church and a Bible Church from second grade through the end of high school (lots of church!).&nbsp; After moving to Grand Rapids, MI, to attend Calvin College, he started leading high school youth group at Oakdale Park CRC.&nbsp; He did this for three fun-filled (and mildly exhausting) years.&nbsp; Adam then spent a year learning spanish in Guatemala, fundraising and attending mission training school in Pasadena, CA, before moving to Mexico for a year to work with a Korean-American mission agency there.&nbsp; Following his time in Mexico, Adam enrolled in Calvin Theological Seminary, bumped into a nice girl in the photo line and married her.&nbsp; There was some other stuff in between then and now, but those are the main things.&nbsp; Oh yeah, and he served at Grace Valley for two months in the summer of 2010.&nbsp; He&#39;s happy to be back in Northern Illinois with his lovely bride.&nbsp; Adam enjoys going to plays at Timber Lake Playhouse, drinking copious amounts of tea, and hiking in God&#39;s creation.&nbsp; He also loves Jesus and people.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p> Erin Stout grew up in Tinley Park, IL, and felt drawn to Jesus and his church at a young age.&nbsp; She attended Trinity Christian College (Palos Heights, IL), where she first encountered - then found a home in - the Christian Reformed Church.&nbsp;&nbsp; Her love for God and for people led her to Calvin Seminary (Grand Rapids, MI), where she graduated with an M.Div.&nbsp; She has served as a chaplain at Christ Hospital (Oak Lawn, IL), a seminary mentor for Calvin College&#39;s Campus Ministry department (Grand Rapids, MI), intern pastor at Kincardine CRC (Kincardine, ON), and interim pastor at Hope CRC (Oak Forest, IL).&nbsp; This past year, Erin worked as a dispatch clerk at Holland Special Delivery, a trucking company in Hudsonville, MI.&nbsp; On April 28, she married her best friend, Adam Stout.&nbsp; Erin is excited to serve with Adam as&nbsp;Pastors of Congregational Life at Grace Valley.&nbsp; Erin enjoys cooking soup, playing Frisbee and Rock Band, and reading good books.&nbsp; She is looking forward to serving Grace Valley as we follow Jesus together.</p> <p> &nbsp;</p>
